Dr. Velangi was amazing from start to finish. They were able to get me in for an appointment much sooner than I expected, and the entire process was smooth and stress-free. The staff was knowledgeable, professional, and made me feel comfortable every step of the way. My surgery went very well, and I especially want to recognize Christian, Dr. Velangi's assistant. He was incredibly knowledgeable, caring, and compassionate, and he made sure I felt informed and at ease throughout the entire experience. I truly appreciate the outstanding care I received from everyone at ProSmile Implant Center. I highly recommend them to anyone considering dental implants or oral surgery. I’m from New Jersey and was looking for a New Dentist in Scottsdale. I have a full set of implants on the whole top of my mouth. The front six teeth have become a little loose so I was looking for a doctor to try to bang them out and re-glue them. The type of implant I have are glued in went to four different doctors each one of them wanted to cut out the iBridge and make a complete new one…. The price I got were between 18,000 down to 12,000 and then maybe some additional implant work they were ensure…. I decided to go for one more consult with pro smile when I got there I told the dentist I wasn’t interested in having another bridge done the only reason I was there is I wanted him to see if he could take the bridge out since it was loose and we glow it if he couldn’t do that, I wasn’t interested in anything else after he checked out my teeth. He explains me that he thinks the screw is loose and if he could tighten the screw, the bridge wouldn’t have to come out if he couldn’t tighten the screw then he would have to make a new bridge so I asked him what is a ballpark figure for New bridge and he said somewhere around 7000. I looked at him and said you got the job pro smile is honest not looking to take advantage of you and I would highly recommend going to their office, Love pro smile.!!!!!PS… The estimate came in under 7000!!!Posted on Google Glorie Jo LimJuly 3, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My 13 year old daughter had an oral surgery where she had to go under anesthesia and they worked well with her and made her very comfortable. The anesthesiologist was great in explaining everything to her and the doctors & office staff were fantastic!Posted on Google Judi ZalimasJuly 2, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I just moved here and found myself in need of assistance from some discomfort. From the moment I called I was greeted with I think her name was Kim and she sounded like a concerned friend and got me right in. Dr Mehta immediately determined my needs. Even after three weeks I came back in without hesitation he adjusted my bite with amazing care and professionalism. Coming from someone who completely dislikes the dentist it is a big deal for me to say that my experience with Dr Mehta and his office has been easy, comfortable and would trust them for the rest of my dental procedures and maintenance.Posted on Google Roxann BrownJune 29, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Got my all on 4 implants done here and I'm really happy with how everything turned out. They explained what was happening at every step which made it so much less scary than I thought it would be. I actually want to smile in pictures now which says a lot.Posted on Google CharleenJune 28, 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Not all extractions are the same. The right approach depends on the position and condition of the tooth.
A simple extraction removes a tooth that is fully visible above the gumline. After the area is numbed, the tooth is gently loosened and removed without incisions. These procedures are usually quick and have a comfortable recovery.
Performed when the tooth is fully erupted and easily accessible. These procedures are often completed quickly using local anesthesia.
A surgical extraction is needed when a tooth is impacted, broken at the gumline, or has complex roots. It involves a small incision and, in some cases, removing a bit of bone or sectioning the tooth for easier removal. These procedures require greater skill and precision, which is why having a specialist perform them matters.
Recommended for impacted teeth, fractured teeth, or teeth below the gumline. Surgical extractions require specialized techniques to safely remove the tooth while protecting surrounding structures.
Your extraction begins with a thorough consultation. We review your dental and medical history, examine the tooth, and take advanced imaging to fully assess the situation. This lets us choose the right approach, plan for any complications, and walk you through your anesthesia options. You will never feel rushed or unsure.
Local anesthesia ensures the area is completely numb before we begin. For patients with dental anxiety or more complex cases, sedation is available to keep you relaxed and comfortable. Our surgeon then removes the tooth using a gentle, precise technique.
We provide clear post-operative instructions to support smooth healing:
If a permanent tooth is removed, replacing it is an important part of protecting your long-term oral health. Once a tooth is gone, the bone beneath it begins to shrink, and nearby teeth can drift into the space. Dental implants are the gold standard for replacement, restoring both the look and function of a natural tooth.
Because we handle extractions and implant placement in-house, we can guide you from removal through replacement with one coordinated team. In many cases, a bone graft placed at the time of extraction helps preserve the site for a future implant.
Certified sedation and an experienced approach mean less pain and discomfort, both during your procedure and throughout recovery.
Our expertise allows us to perform every procedure efficiently while delivering the accurate, reliable outcomes you expect.
From impacted teeth and wisdom teeth to medically compromised patients, we handle even the most challenging cases with confidence.
Skilled, precise care translates into quicker healing and shorter recovery times, so you can get back to your life sooner.
Dry socket can occur when the blood clot that forms at the extraction site is dislodged before the area heals, exposing the underlying bone. To lower your risk:
Extractions performed by an oral surgeon offer a level of precision and surgical expertise beyond a general dental setting.
Dr. Velangi and Dr. Hossieni handle everything from routine removals to complex surgical extractions with the same focus on comfort and careful technique. We welcome referrals and coordinate closely with referring dentists, keeping your office informed and returning patients to you for their ongoing care.
